The impact of the closure of the Pharmacy

The pharmacy owned by Lydeard care limited is closing on 29th February 2024. Quantock vale surgery has been working with Lydeard care limited and Somerset Integrated Care Board (ICB) to ensure that there continues to be a provision of medication for local patients. The surgery plans to revert the pharmacy back into a dispensary.

How will this affect me?

The situation is complex and depends where you live.

If you are a registered patient of Quantock vale surgery and live currently within 1 mile of a pharmacy (Roughly speaking: If you live in Bishops Lydeard and Lethbridge park), then there will be a temporary disruption in your ability to obtain medication from our dispensary. Please click below for our letter explaining this. Please do not order medication in advance to circumvent this as this will stop the pharmacy from operating as normal.

If you are a registered patient of Quantock vale surgery and do not live within 1 mile of a pharmacy (roughly speaking if you live in Cotford St Luke, West Bagborough, Halse, Lydeard St Lawrence, Kingston St Mary), then there will be no disruption in your ability to obtain medication from our dispensary. Click below for our letter the explaining this.
